Building Your Online MLM List

Now that you have chosen your MLM and you have begun to market yourself….you need to begin to build up your list and then learn to monetise it.

It is most important that you develop a good relationship with the people who trust you enough to opt in to your list – whether they buy from you initally or not. Giving information away is a good way to build up trust – make it good information too!

Remember, you only need 5 good people to build a significant income with MLM online!

To begin to develop a list and you need a capture page – ideally your own – and an autoresponder. Optin to the newsletter and you will get a free video on how you can create a simple capture page and link it to an autoresponder such as Aweber. If you use your parent company capture pages, then often you lose control of your list if you ever wish to leave them or they go belly up. Your list is your future – so look after it!

So how do you build up your list when you do not wish to share business matters with family and friends.

1. SOLO Ads

Sending email ads to other peoples lists is a quick way to begin packing your list with people wishing to develop a home business on the internet. Sending an email – a SOLO Ad – to an online magazine (Ezine) list of subscribers is a great way to begin.  You need to have a bit of a budget to start with but once you get going, the income from your online network marketing business will support your advertising. I started my current MLM this way and got 25 to 30 sign ups a month with just a few solo ads in a 6 week period. There are a couple of sources I would recommend you start because they have been tested.

If Frank Kern recommends Directory of Ezines - a great resource of tested traffic lists – then why shouldn’t I? Easily the best source I know to guide you on email copy, article marketing and solo ads and ezines sources. It costs a one off fee but then it is a lifetime membership!

Another source of good research on solo ads is Traffic Testers. They review and test different ad sources every month and share that with subscribers. It is a great way to get new lists to work with and I have found it very rewarding.

Traffic Testers have also got a monthly advertising co-op for just $10 a share. So that is worth checking out also.

2. Traffic Exchanges

A great free source of traffic is the use of Traffic Exchanges. Register for these and just surf the ads and you get credits so your MLM site gets advertised for free! These are a great way for the beginner to build a list!

But DANGER LURKS!. You need to focus on your own business and don’t let your head get turned by the other offers! You may decide the best bet is to buy credits…that way you don;t have to spend hours surfing and you can get on with other stuff.

I recommend these. They are proving to be the most effective and you can buy credits and guaranteed traffic too if you wish.

Most of these sites were chosen through utilising Traffic Testers to establish what offers the best results.

SOLO Adss and Traffic Exchanges was the basis for forming my list and building up my MLM business online. Once you have your list…there are some great ways in which you can build on that. But to start with you need a stream of traffic to your site…..and a list of interested people in your business and blog!

Then it is just a question of converting them to your primary business.

Ad Swaps – Using Your List To Best Effect

Once you have a list of say 200 to 300 people who have expressed an interest in your business there is a cool way to double the size of it by Joint Venturing with other online marketers.

I was introduced to adswapping a short time ago. I wish I had known about it earlier.

A good resource for this is the Warrior Forum .

The Warrior Forum is a good resource for lots of stuff anyway, help to grow any online business…but for definite – Joint Ventures with other Internet Marketers on adswaps to your list is a good thing.

Best way to do this is to have a reliable autoresponder like AWeber, a capture page , which you can create easily using www.Komposer.com  with a good hosting service like Blue Host. Track your ads using a reliable tracking service like TEToolbox (TE Toolbox is free for up to 10 tracking links).

With Aweber you can programme broadcasts to go out on specific days and times. Once you find a reliable and trustworthy partner, then stick with them. Mutual respect and trust is what working online should be all about.

Paul Hughes has developed this service and your list is tested for clicks by an email Paul provides. Then everyone in the system knows the size of peoples lists and the click through rates. That way you can find a partner with a list and click through rate of equal size.

Believe me, you could create a huge list in no time using this strategy….remember, The Money is Not In The List  – It is in the VALUE you give to your list! So make sure you give lots of good stuff away! Keep giving good information to people who trusted you with their email address.

You will soon be a guru with a big list and a massive downline!

Market Yourself – The Key to Building Your MLM

It is very important to take as much action as possible to market yourself and build up a good reputation and develop relationships online if you are to make a success of your MLM or online network marketing business.

1. Blogging For Success

In the old days people used to have traditional websites but these offer no interaction and are often difficult to edit and change.

The best direction to go is to have a word press blog. Word press is a free upload on most hosting sites. I use Blue Host but you can chose from lots of others.

Some themes offer more help with content than others, I use Socrates as it does most of the work for you as well as offering great monetising choices, but you can use many more if you wish.

A blog, updated regularly and followed up with good information and perhaps video content in an autoresponder newsletter, offers your customers a unique opportunity to have a two way relationship with you.

Providing buttons and stuff to offer interaction on the site is good too. You can add Twitter and Facebook account links on your front page . It can be fun.

This will give a voice to your brand and allows you to provide great, no obligation information that people can use to build their business and begin to trust you enough to join you in yours.

2. Your Email

This is a real easy one!! Use a signature block in your emails that you send out. Include your name, website address, tagline (if you have one) or one-liner highlighting your area of expertise, and any other contact information you want in front of your potential customers.

3. Get Social

There are social networks for everyone and everything!  Social networks allow you to expand your own network and tap into the connections of others with similar interests. Be professional, consistent and genuine in all of your social networking endeavors and you never know what doors will open!

Forums such as Warrior Forum are another form of social networking and source of great advice and information on how to succeed online. Find forums that are in your area of expertise or your potential customers area of interest and get involved. e.g. just go to www.google.com and key in MLM or Network Marketing Forums. Add your url in the signature. Ask questions and answer questions, be genuine and willing to give before you expect to receive anything!

4. Be Part of a Two Way Conversation

Develop a list of other sites that encourage two way conversation and get involved. Leave meaningful comments on posts that interest you. Always use your first name or recognized nickname when leaving a comment. Do not insult the site owner by leaving “keywords” in place of your name – I usually delete those comments here. Do leave the URL of your website in the URL field (when available) and use an email address that works in the event that the site owner would like to continue the conversation directly with you.

Global Domains International Review

GDI – Global Domains International - is an organization selling the domain name, “.WS” around the world, and has done so for the past 10 years.

The Company was founded by Alan Ezeir (President) and Michael Reed (CEO) are the founders and it was established in 2000.

Their Product is the .WS domain? It is considered to be a top level domain extension, much like “.COM”.

Alan and Michael saw an opportunity to begin promoting the “.WS” domain. They quickly realized what a huge seller it would be if they could market it as the short word for “Web Site.”

You always start out domain registrations with the 7 day Free Trial, and at the end of the free trial period you’re billed $10 monthly. That charge covers URL forwarding, a web site builder and web hosting, and 10 email accounts.

The Compensation Plan –

This is a 5 Level Plan leaving you the ability to build as wide as you can imagine. For every domain that becomes registered in your team you receive payment of $1 per month.

So based on you being able to refer 5 customers you make $5 a month. If they do the same thing that’s $25 to you, and if everyone continues this way through 5 levels that gives you $3,125 each month.

Pretty cool!

Also, if you are able to match a rather strict criteria, and maintain it every month, there’s also an infinity bonus which is paid out on unlimited levels.

Bonuses – There’s also a 7 day contest period offered. If you are able to refer 5 paid affiliates, your bonus would be $100. For example, because this is unlimited – if you were able to refer 25 new paid in affiliates in 7 days, you’d be looking a $500, and so on.

For someone who is really charged up, and refers a total of 1,000 paid affiliates in a consecutive 4 week period, you would received the Heavy Hitter Bonus. That bonus happens to be $5,000.

Conclusion: GDI has an excellent product at this time that domains are in really high demand. There also appears to be a terrific opportunity for making money here as well.

Like the majority of MLM opportunities, you need to be prepared to make the effort to create the volume of income you need to before leaving your current full time job.

In my view there is a terrific potential for anyone to make a substantial income from GDI – Global Domains International. It can be marketing purely on line or refer local businesses to the service. As always it is a good idea to get a good upline who can share a system of marketing the product. One such is Daniel Kim of the Solid Residual Formula. Daniel is often at the top of the GDI leaderboard, has a system and training second to none…and his system offers multiple streams of income.

Team Work: Learning from Geese!

How can we learn from geese to improve our performance in our Online Network Marketing business?

Scientists have found that geese flying in formation can travel around 78% further in a session than geese flying solo. Working together on the task

of flying is beneficial in a number of ways:

Aerodynamic Formation – The V formation of geese is a way that maximizes the energy expended by those flying as part of it. The bird at the front of the flock breaks the air for those flying behind it and creates a slipstream for them to be dragged along in. The birds behind also help those in front as the upward motion of their wing also creates an upward draft that propels them forward. This push/pull relationship ensures all birds in the formation benefit from the work of others.

Rotating Leadership – Even with the pushing effect of those behind it – the front bird uses the most energy and becomes tired more quickly than others. The geese know that and instinctively rotate leadership of the flock – allowing tired birds who have used a lot of energy for the sake of the flock to take a rest and be dragged a long for a while until it is there next turn up front.

Dropping out of the Flock – as a result of sickness or injury a bird will occasionally begin to fall away from the flock – unable to keep up. Instead of allowing this bird to fly on alone – at least two others will always drop out of the flock with it. This ensures that the injured bird will be defended and cared for until it is ready to resume flying – and that it will fly on with the benefit of flying in formation.

Power of the Honk – From the ground the V formation of the geese is a beautiful thing to watch – serenely gliding across the sky these birds look quite majestic and peaceful. However get up into the flock and you find its quite a noisy affair with the geese constantly honking at one another. There are numerous theories about this honking and it could be partly about letting each other know where they are so there is no midair collisions) but many believe that this honking is actually about creating an environment of success and mutual encouragement. It reminds me of when I used to play football at school and before the game would begin all the boys would gather in the locker room to whip themselves into a frenzy – shouting meaningless stuff about what they’d do to the opposition, slapping each other on the back (and bums) and basically creating an environment where we thought we could conquer the world.

As a result of some of these dynamics the geese can fly amazing distances without stopping for rest – so much further than if they tried to do it alone.

So, why not learn from Geese? Use the Power of Honking, fly in formation(work together) to build your business. Let the strong help the weak(newbies). Watch out for each other and use the power of team work to help each other achieve your financial goals!
